Father and two son arrested for murder of daghuters lover

The three family members included father and his two sons were arrested by Dindoshi police station in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old man who had a love affair with the daughter. Father and his two sons detained him three days in his house and brutally beat him up and finally died because the deceased refused to marry with her daughter. The three arrested accused have been identified as Kamla Prasad Sahu, 61, and his two sons Rajesh, 21, and Dinesh, 19, a residents of Bengali compound in Dindoshi.

According to police, the deceased, Pradeep Gupta, 25, who resided in the neighbouring area of accused, and one day Sahu came to know that his 22-year-old daughter was having a love affair with Gupta. He then allegedly tried to convince him to marry his daughter but he reportedly refused.

“Sahu family then got angry and they kidnapped him on July 19 and kept him in their house and beat him very badly to get married with his daughter. They tortured Gupta three days and finally when he did not accept their proposal they hit with a heavy object on his head due to which he died on the spot on July 22” said senior police inspector, Kakade of Dindoshi police station.

“After that they wrapped his body in cloth and dump at Gokuldam area at night. Next day in the morning the local people who were passing nearby saw the body and informed the police” said police official. Gupta was a watchman and was working somewhere in the Goregaon area.

“In inquiry we found that Gupta was having an affair with Sahu’s daughter but he had refused to marry her. We then called the girl’s family for inquiry and during the interrogation they admitted their crime” said, Kakade. The accused have produced in the court and granted police custody till August 3.

“Sahu’s daughter got married a year ago but due to some problems with her husband she started leaving at her father’s house” said police official of the Dindoshi police station.
